Thomas Shelley
Thomas completed his Master of Physical Therapy education at the University of Western Ontario in 2019, where he was chosen as class valedictorian. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with Minors in Fitness and Sport Science, Natural Science, and Business Administration. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Castleton University in Vermont in 2015.
Thomas has participated in the sports community since a young age. In high school he was a multi-sport athlete in cross-country, volleyball, hockey, soccer, and track-and-field. Ultimately, he played four years of NCAA hockey while attending Castleton University in Vermont.
Thomas has worked as a physiotherapist in both public and private settings. He has spent time working in a hospital on the orthopaedic and traumatology team, in sports injury clinics, and as the physiotherapist of a multi-disciplinary health care team. He integrates his work experience and continual learning from ongoing post-graduate courses with his passion for health and fitness to restore very patients’ health to its fullest potential.
Thomas and his wife moved to Kelowna to have access to the outdoors so you’re likely to find them biking, hiking, camping, playing tennis, or golfing during the summer months. Then, when it cools down you are more likely to find him on a rink coaching or playing hockey or out on the slopes snowboarding.
