BILL BURTON, BSc PT., F.C.A.M.P.T, Dip. Manip. P.T., CGIMS

Bill is a 1983 graduate of the University of Alberta. After graduation he worked in a number of public and private settings in Edmonton until 1990 when he immigrated to Australia to study for his masters certificate in Perth, Australia. During this time he worked with a wide variety of patients ranging from world champion athletes to professional ballet dancers. Bill moved back to Canada and settled in Kelowna in 1994. He initially co-founded the very successful OSPRI clinic which eventually became the Kelowna Lifemark franchise.
During this time he has also become a certified Orthopaedic instructor, a certified IMS practitioner and has continued to expand his clinical expertise with continuing education. His expertise is in detecting the source of the problem with a biomechanical assessment process, followed by a unique treatment regime. This has allowed him to resolve problems that have failed in previous therapies.
Bill received his graduate diploma of Manual and Manipulative Therapy in 1995. Over the years Bill has also worked, studied and taught in France, Africa, and most of the Australian states. Bill is married to Dawn, the clinic’s office manager, and they have three children. Bill stays active playing soccer, rugby, golf, hockey, cycling and downhill skiing.

Ross is a 1995 graduate of the University of Manitoba. After graduation Ross continued to study and work in Georgia, USA, at a clinic renowned for treatment of patients, including professional athletes such as PGA golfers. While in Georgia he went on to specialize in spinal rehabilitation. Ross returned to Canada in 2000 to work at Rutland Physical Therapy and continue his studies. Ross completed his post-graduate Diploma of Manual and Manipulative Therapy from the Canadian Physiotherapy Association in 2005.
In the fall of 2006, Ross joined the Kelowna Manual Therapy Centre as a partner. Since joining the clinic, Ross has completed his certification in Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation with Dr. Chan Gunn in Vancouver. Ross has a special interest in treating spinal conditions through manual therapy, IMS and specific exercise. Ross is married with two sons. Ross is active with cycling, cross country skiing, hiking and golf.

Ryan graduated from the University of Alberta with his Masters in Physiotherapy in 2006. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Lethbridge in 2004 with a major in Exercise Science. Ryan played junior hockey for the Calgary Royals in the Alberta Junior Hockey League for three years after which his hockey career continued with a NCAA Division 1 hockey scholarship to Bemidji State University in Minnesota. Unfortunately, his NCAA career was cut short by injuries. However, he was able to have surgery and rehabilitate enough to return to the University of Lethbridge to play for the Pronghorns in the CIS. Ryan’s interests include hockey, snowboarding, wakeboarding, golfing, hiking, camping and all the other activities the Okanagan Valley has to offer.
In the summer of 2010, Ryan joined the Kelowna Manual Therapy Centre and recently became a partner in 2012. He enjoys helping clients return to unrestricted activity. He offers a comprehensive treatment involving manual and exercise therapy for all musculoskeletal disorders whether they are caused by trauma, work or sport. With his certifications in acupuncture from the CAFCI, as well as his certification in Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation, Ryan offers multiple needling techniques as part of his physiotherapy services. He is also is a provider of DONJOY custom knee braces. Ryan has a special interest in pursuing further post-graduate qualifications in manual therapy and sports physiotherapy.
RICK DIDUCK, RMT
Registered Massage Therapist
Rick is a Registered Massage Therapist with over 10 years experience. He graduated from Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in 2000.
Since graduating, Rick has worked in multiple settings in Kelowna where he has gained valuable experience working in multi-disciplinary settings. This has helped him to incorporate a variety of skills and techniques into his treatments.
Rick is committed to restoring and maintaining optimal health and pain free function in the body. After an assessment, Rick will design a treatment plan that can include techniques of massage and manual therapy, joint mobilization, hydrotherapy, rehabilitative exercise, such as stretching and strengthening. Rick is married and has 3 sons. He trains regularly to keep active in mountain biking, wakesurfing, snowboarding, swimming, hiking and running.
KATE COEY, RMT
Registered Massage Therapist
Kate is a Registered Massage Therapist and 2002 graduate of the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Victoria.
Since graduating she has worked many environments including a variety of clinics, marathons, and spas. Kate’s work experience has led her to incorporate a variety of skills into her treatments.
Treatments include therapeutic, deep tissue, sports massage, and relaxation. Incorporating these massage techniques results in reducing or eliminating pain. As well massage therapy will improve joint mobility, reduce tension in the body, increase circulation, and increase body awareness. Kate is also working with the Okanagan Valley School of Massage Therapy supervising students in their sports outreach program at UBCO working with the varsity athletes.
